Bluegrass Redemption

Jane is not forgotten

For 28.8 years I had the pleasure of being married to one of the most amazing women who has ever existed.  She was so very smart and talented!  It has been 6 months today since she died, and I miss her so very much.  This post is a little collection of photos of her that are somewhat related to the band.   From Heaven she is so proud of Miranda for singing in her place, and so happy the music in our family plays on!

Bluegrass In The Valley

Our band hosted the first Bluegrass In The Valley event this past March 3rd, at the Park Forest Baptist Church. Approximately 80 people attended the event.  The evening started at 7:00 pm when the Stoney Creek Bluegrass Band took the stage.  They played excellent bluegrass music for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.  I particularly enjoyed the vocal harmony and excellent musicianship.   During a 20 minute intermission, PFBC youth provided refreshments in the lobby, asking only for donations to support the various youth activities at the church.  At a little after 8:40 pm, Bluegrass Redemption took the stage, and played for about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

We would like to extend a HUGE thank you to the Stoney Creek Bluegrass Band, to the PFBC youth group and their leaders, to our many friends who volunteered, and to all the lovely people who came out to support this event.

We look forward to hosting another event soon!
